Okay, **PRE-WARNING** LOTS of PICTURES**
This post is pretty much just pictures!!
This is a very quick run down of most of what we did for our summer vacation.
We ended the school year with a piano recital!! They all played VERY well!!
They also have a fabulous teacher whom we love!!
And we finished up both soccer and baseball!!
And we played at Trafalga, a lot
And we went to The Tracy Aviary
And the Utah State Capital building for a self-guided tour. Which really was pretty cool.
Then we went to the Kennecott Copper Mines
And those "little" trucks you see in this picture... they have wheels as big as the ones the kids are standing next to in the above picture. AND THE TRUCKS ARE AS BIG AS MY HOUSE!! Truly, we drove next to one while heading up to the pit and OH MY STARS!!! They're big!!
And we went to a car show. We found the Bat-Mobile!
And then there was the 4th of July Parade!! They have their sacks all ready
to catch that yummy candy!
And of course we did fireworks!! Both the 'home kind' and the big ones at the park you watch while laying on a blanket, playing with each other, eating goodies while you wait!
Then there were the Dinosaur Museums
And the duck pond
**TAKE A BREATHER...WE'RE ABOUT HALF WAY THERE!!**
And we celebrated birthdays!! A turned 4 and J turned 10!! And yes, I made both of the birthday cakes!! Love being able to do that for my kids!!
And we visited This is the Place Heritage Park
And panned for gold
Watched some really cool Native American dancers, made fun crafts, rode the train, played in the park, rode on a pony, and ate super yummy ice-cream!!
We went to Lava Hot Springs, Idaho and played in the warm pools. Notice how I'm not in the picture?? You will NEVER seen me online in a bathing suit.
And played at the park
And the boys rafted down the river
While us girls played at the park some more
And we threw a surprise 60th Birthday party for Grandma!! And yes again, I made the cake. It's a basket decorated cake with cake-balls decorated as apples sitting inside it. Grandma has a thing for apples. They're all over her house.
And we went to Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah
And we went to Clark Planetarium where the girls went to Mars and walked over the red landscape!
And J found tons to read and learn
And T found this 2 story rolling/moving ball contraption that he just loved to watch!!
And J had a box-car race at his Cub Scout Pack Meeting. He was sporting his Phoenix Suns Basketball Box-Car. With trash talking bumper stickers included!!
My favorite one said, "I'm so good even your mama cheers for me"
And went to Boondocks and played hard for hours until they finally kicked us out.
And visited a Dairy Farm owned by our sister-in-laws family and got a nice private tour
We all learned a lot about the machinery that they use to milk the cows, how they sort and take care of the cows, and how Dairy Cows do not make good mama's so they seperate them from their calves fairly quickly...
J's expression certainly tells you how it smelled!! ha! ha!
And we played at the Treehouse Children's Museum in Ogden, Utah
And we went swimming, a lot
And we went to Hogle Zoo
And T earned his Scouting Second Class and First Class Rank Advancements.
And we played video games,
went to the movies,
watched movies,
had campouts,
played in the sprinklers,
played at Seven-Peaks Water Park,
went to the pool,
played at parks,
and to be honest....
I think I'm going to start a petition to make summer vacation longer. At least by another month!!
I was soooooooooooo not ready to send them back to school yesterday!!
Loves & Hugs!
